Are other dogs besides dachshunds allowed?
Yes! Any and all Friendly, leashed, and well-mannered dogs are allowed at Dachtoberfest. Only dachshunds are allowed to participate in the Dachtona 500, though.
How do I sign my dog up for the Dachtona 500 and Contests?
The Dachtona 500 registration opens in early september. online registration is required. There is a registration fee. only dachshunds are allowed to participate (sorry, no mixed-breeds or wannabe weens allowed!) You can enter your dog into contests the day of the festival. The contests are free to enter.
Do I have to Sign Up/Does it Cost Money To attend?
Nope! Dachtoberfest is free and open to the public. The Dachtona 500 requires sign-up ahead of time and there is a registration fee.
Are the vendors cash only?
Some might be, so it’s best to bring cash for the ones that are, though some may accept card payments.
Will there be anywhere to sit?
Remich Park has some picnic tables and benches, but please feel free to bring a camp chair or blanket to sit on if you’d like.
Does my dog have to be on a leash?
Yes. all dogs must be leashed at all times. THe only time they are to be off leash is during their participation in the Dachtona 500, which is fenced in.
Where do I park?
There is parking available at and around REmich Park, and there are also several free parking lots available around Littleton, all within walking distance of the festival. A map of free Parking can be found here.
